I got a new lens yesterday and I thought, “What better way to test it out then to take some photos of my daughter?”

So we went to the Hitchcock Nature Center and had some fun!

I think it works quite well and I can’t wait to use it at a wedding…. TOMORROW! Stay tuned…..

I enjoy all things photography, not just weddings. Heck, my road to becoming a professional wedding photographer started with me shooting landscapes and local wildlife. So when a few friends of mine suggested we all go on a landscape outing, I was so in! We drove north through Nebraska and ended up in South Dakota near Gavin’s Point Dam.

My wife and I took a small vacation to Fabulous Las Vegas to get away from the Midwest winter. We had a great time! There is so much to see and do and of course, I took a few photos. Here’s a random selection for your viewing pleasure.

And as the title suggests, I also took a small part in a flash mob wedding!

Yes, this is a little late. I truly do hope that everyone had as good of a Thanksgiving as I did!

Every morning I wake up I can’t help but think of how truly blessed I am. I’m so thankful for my family, my wife and daughter are my world. Also, how many people get to actually live out their dreams? I’m so excited for 2011!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the day!

I'm quite proud of this shot considering it was blustery and cold so it was rushed quite a bit.
